the attic room is a London based media company founded by film maker Christopher Riley to bring compelling stories to new audiences; using a range of platforms from apps and social media to cinema, broadcast documentaries and other novel web based projects.

Often working with found footage, our films bring new audiences to  overlooked stories and characters. We are the company behind the hit YouTube Gagarin film 'First Orbit' and the restoration and remastering of NASA's classic 1969 documentary 'Moonwalk One - the director's cut'.

Other projects we've helped to create include the acclaimed BBC/PBS biopic of Neil Armstrong - 'First Man on the Moon', the BAFTA, RTS and Grierson nominated documentary 'The Girl who talked to Dolphins', and the Emmy nominated 'Hubble's Cosmic Journey'.

We collaborated on the multi-award winning 'One Strange Rock' series, for National Geographic, and the Sundance award winning Film4 feature documentary 'In the Shadow of the Moon'.

We supported the Eric Whitacre Deep Field film, and the Smithsonian's Washington DC Mall Apollo 50 show "Go for the Moon".

We are the creators of the campaigning 'Voyager's Final Message' and COP26 'Message in a Bottle' projects.
